Nomex fabric is the fabric made of synthetic flame resistant Nomex fibers. In accordance with its application it can contain Kevlar, cotton, viscose and antistatic fibers also. Due to synthetic fibers Nomex fabric does not loose its flame resistant properties after washing or dry cleaning. Nomex and Kevlar fibers don’t melt and drip like a polyester when exposed to a flame, they don’t burn in air like cotton. Nomex fibers after influence of a flame absorb heat energy, enlarge is size and make insulation barrier so that to expel heat transfer and secure men’s skin against hot air and flame. Characteristics: Inherently flame resistant anti-static fabric engineered to reduce "nuisance" static. Self-extinguishing, will not ignite, melt, drip or burn. These characteristics make NOMEX an exceptional all around fabric for applications such as petroleum refining, petro-chemical, fire service, and gas and electric utilities.
